Adding a custom root domain to PixelMe

Creating a custom domain for PixelMe

While we generally suggest users create a subdomain instead of a root domain, it is of course possible to add a root domain as well.

The setup for the root domain is similar to a subdomain, with two key differences.

Firstly, you will need to create the domain you'd like to use. Please be sure the domain isn't being used for any other purpose! All traffic will be redirected to PixelMe, so if you are using the domain for anything other than our service, you will run into issues! Once it's been created:

  1. You will need to set up an A record, not a CNAME record on your server for the domain.
  2. You will need to point the domain to our IP, which is 51.15.139.10

Please be sure the domain isn't being used for any other purpose! All traffic will be redirected to PixelMe, so if you are using the domain for anything other than our service, you will run into issues!

When the record has been made, give it a few hours/days to propagate. When it's fully propagated, you can add the domain to your account under 'Audience Builder' -> 'Settings' -> 'Custom Domain'. 🚀
